Laden Maritime offers full services port agency, as well as protective & husbandry agency services.

Below are some of the services we provide.

Port Agency

When calling Canada, be it during the summer or winter season, there are numerous formalities and reports which vessels must be prepared to submit in advance of arrival. When appointed Laden Maritime will assist the vessel and owners with the necessary documentation as well ensure that same is sent to the proper authorities.

We also coordinate with Coast Guard, Customs, and Port Authority for vessels upcoming arrivals/departures. Arrangements are made with local Pilotage, Tugs, and Linesmen for vessels arrival/departure (as needed). Finally we coordinate with local terminals and stevedores to ensure handling of cargo ops is on schedule.

Husbandry Agency

Laden Maritime is in touch with a great number of services and suppliers across Canada and can provide estimated costs and assistance with the following:

Provisions
Repairs
Maintenance
Bunkering
Crew Change
Cash to Master
Passenger boarding/disembarking.
Medical Emergencies & Appointments.
Surveying (On Hire, Delivery, etc…)
Class Assistance (Coordination & Transportation)
Spares & Ships Mail (Customs Clearance & Delivery)
Enrolment with Local Oil Response Org. (Mandatory in Canada)
Hold cleaning supplies or services.

Of course we are not limited to the above & will attend as needed to whatever requirements a vessel may have while under our care.

Protective Agency

Often vessels can be consigned to charterers choice of agents providing little option for protecting your interests. Laden Maritime in this case may often be appointed as protective agents so as to provide unbiased reporting and ensure that all parties remain honest.

When attending as protective agent we will appoint the charterers agent, placing them in funds, and collecting whatever invoices possible directly in order to better control costs. This allows us to provide a quicker turnaround on invoices & D/As without waiting for what can be long time processing by other parties.
